The clay peg roof tiles on this roof are tiles we produced 15 years ago which are now mixed with tiles we produced recently. I must say, it’s the first time I’ve known of our tiles being mixed with our tiles. Very interesting.

15 years ago, Spicer Tiles produced the original clay peg roof tiles for this build. In 2019 Mr Hamblin decided to put an extension on the property, after eventually discovering who it was that produced the tiles for the original project, we were asked to produce more clay peg tiles to cover his new extension. As expected, the original tiles had weathered over the decade and a half, so there was a slight colour variation. The solution came in stripping the whole roof and mixing the old tiles with the new, giving this fantastic result.
